Sam Fox and Justin Timberlake Join Forces in Austin

The Twelve Thirty Club—Nashville’s destination for dining, live music, and nightlife—is expanding to Austin.

Created by Sam Fox of Author & Edit Hospitality in partnership with singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake, the new outpost is slated to open in late 2027.

Honoring history at the Twelve Thirty Club Austin

With its $30 million buildout beginning soon, the club will take over a three-story stone structure originally built between 1912 and 1914 as a U.S. Post Office. Designed by James Knox Taylor (one of the last architects for the U.S. Treasury), the neoclassical building also once housed a federal court. It was donated to the University of Texas in the 1960s and renamed for First Lady Claudia “Lady Bird” Taylor Johnson.

“I’ve walked past this building for years, long before we opened the Nashville Twelve Thirty Club, always imagining what it could become,” says Fox. “It’s been a more than six-year journey to get here, and this place has an incredible presence—like it’s been waiting for the right moment and the right kind of energy. We want to honor its history while creating something completely original for Austin.”

A design by AvroKO

Spanning nearly 35,000 square feet (10,000 more than the Nashville flagship), the Austin location will be designed by AvroKO, which is also behind the interiors of the original location.

The venue will unfold across four levels. The main supper club will serve as an all-day dining and performance space with live music that carries into the adjacent plaza. A hidden staircase leads to the speakeasy, a dimly lit late-night bar with handcrafted cocktails and DJ-driven energy.

On the second floor, private club Honorary Member offers a curated environment with exclusive access to a lounge, VIP priority reservations, members-only culinary events, and a terrace that overlooks the Supper Club for show views. Plus, a private event space above will accommodate up to 80 guests for elevated dinners and cocktail receptions.

“After what we created in Nashville, I’m thrilled to be bringing the Twelve Thirty Club to Austin,” says Timberlake. “This city truly gets live music, and getting to restore the soul of such an iconic building while working with Sam again is incredible. We’re being intentional with how the space carries sound across every level, because how music lives in the room is just as important as the design. We’re creating a space that people will want to experience again and again.”
